Privacy Policy for Blue Collar Home Services
Last updated: October 20, 2026
Blue Collar Home Services, including Blue Collar Electric and Blue Collar Heating & Cooling (“BCG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information through our websites, online forms, and website tools.
This policy covers the following websites where it is posted:
Additional notices may apply to particular services or tools. This policy does not replace your written service agreement or any separate notice provided when information is collected.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when you request service, ask for an estimate, contact our team, subscribe to updates, submit a form, or use an online tool. Depending on your request, this may include:
- Your name, email address, telephone number, and service address.
- Information about your home, equipment, service needs, and preferences.
- Messages, photographs, attachments, and other information you choose to submit.
- Your communication preferences and records of consent.
We and our service providers may also collect technical information, including IP addresses, browser and device information, pages visited, referring pages, timestamps, and interactions with our websites. Some of this information may qualify as personal information under applicable law.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Respond to questions and provide requested estimates, appointments, and services.
- Operate our websites, forms, and online tools.
- Deliver requested previews and follow up on service inquiries.
- Send service communications and permitted marketing messages.
- Understand website use and improve our services.
- Maintain security, prevent misuse, troubleshoot problems, and enforce our terms.
- Maintain business records and meet legal obligations.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on the basis appropriate to the activity, such as your consent, steps needed to fulfill your request or contract, legal obligations, or legitimate business interests subject to your rights.
How We Share Information
We may share information with the Blue Collar team and service providers that support our business, including website hosting, scheduling, customer management, email delivery, analytics, security, and AI image processing. These providers receive information relevant to the services they perform.
We do not sell or rent customer contact lists or provide telephone numbers or SMS consent records to third parties for their independent marketing. Service providers may process this information on our behalf to deliver requested communications and services.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transaction, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Email and Text Messages
If you request information or service, we may contact you about that request. Marketing communications are handled according to your preferences and applicable consent requirements.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link included in the message. For text messaging programs, follow the program’s opt-out instructions, including replying STOP where supported. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not necessarily stop communications needed to fulfill a request, manage an appointment, or provide a service.
Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Technologies
Our websites may use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to support site functions, remember preferences, measure traffic, and understand or improve marketing performance. These technologies may collect device identifiers, IP addresses, browsing activity, and interactions with our content.
Depending on the website and services enabled, providers such as Google may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. You can review Google’s Privacy Policy and advertising information for additional details.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings and use any privacy controls made available on the website. Blocking some cookies may affect site functions. Where legally required, nonessential technologies require consent or must honor applicable opt-out choices.
Information Retention and Security
We retain information for the purposes described in this policy, including fulfilling requests, maintaining service records, managing communication preferences, meeting legal obligations, and resolving disputes. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the reason it is held.
The AI visualizer has additional retention practices described below. Removing a record from the visualizer does not automatically remove related information from business records, emails, exports, backups, or connected service providers.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website, transmission method, or storage system can guarantee complete security.
Your Privacy Choices and Requests
You can contact us to ask about your information, request a correction, update communication preferences, or request deletion. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Depending on your location and whether a particular law applies to our business and the processing involved, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain disclosures. Some requests are subject to legal exceptions and retention requirements.
Where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, requests to know, delete, or correct generally require a response within 45 calendar days, subject to permitted extensions. Where the GDPR applies, requests generally require a response within one month, subject to permitted extensions. Requests are generally handled without charge unless the applicable law permits a fee.
We will handle applicable rights requests within the deadlines required by law. You may also have the right to complain to the relevant privacy regulator. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Children’s Privacy
Our websites and services are intended for homeowners and other adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Our AI design tools are intended only for adults age 18 or older.
Third-Party Websites and Services
Our websites may link to other websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Review those policies before providing information directly to another provider.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services, technology, or legal obligations change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before making a material change to how information is used.

AI Design Visualizer
Some tools on our websites use artificial intelligence (AI) to create images. Our landscape lighting visualizer, for example, lets you upload a photograph of your home and explore how landscape lighting might look after dark.
What happens to your photo. When you use live image generation, we send a processed version of your photograph, your lighting selections, and any optional design notes to OpenAI. We also send technical generation settings and a pseudonymous identifier used for safety and abuse prevention. OpenAI processes the request and returns a generated image.
We do not intentionally add your separately collected name, email address, telephone number, or street address to the image-generation request. However, personal information visible in the photograph or included in your design notes is sent with that content. Please leave personal information out of your notes and photographs.
Our tool resizes and re-encodes uploaded photographs before processing. Do not rely on that processing to remove personal information, whether visible in the photograph or embedded in the file.
How we handle photos and previews. The visualizer temporarily stores the processed upload while creating your preview. It is designed to remove that processed input after generation completes or fails. Generated previews are temporarily stored so you can reveal, view, and download them.
Preview access expires after the retention period configured for the tool, which is between one and seven days. Expired images and local lead details are scheduled for deletion through the website’s background cleanup process. Cleanup timing depends on that process running successfully. Backups may retain earlier copies under separate backup schedules.
Refreshing or leaving the page does not itself delete the stored preview. Preview links expire, so save a copy if you want to keep the image.
Email capture and follow-up. The visualizer asks for an email address to reveal and download a preview. We record that email address, your lighting preferences and notes, and your submitted marketing preference. Authorized Blue Collar team members may receive these details and an expiring preview link to support your inquiry.
Where enabled, our email and customer-management providers, including Klaviyo, may receive lead details, preferences, preview links, and communication preferences. Promotional messages are handled according to your permissions and applicable law. Related emails, exported records, and information held by these providers may remain after the visualizer’s local records expire.
How OpenAI handles information. OpenAI states that information submitted through its API is not used to train or improve its models by default, unless the API customer explicitly opts in to data sharing. OpenAI processes content to provide the service and may also process it for safety, security, abuse monitoring, and legal compliance.
By default, OpenAI may retain API abuse-monitoring content for up to 30 days. Longer retention may apply when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect its services or others from harm. Certain image-safety reviews may also result in retention beyond the ordinary period. Retention depends on the service and account settings. Read OpenAI’s current API data controls documentation for details.
What to upload. Upload only photographs you took or have permission to use. Avoid photographs showing people, especially children, as well as license plates, house numbers, documents, or other personal details. Anything visible in the photograph may be processed by OpenAI with the rest of the image.
The images are illustrations. AI-generated images are approximations to help you explore ideas. Fixture placement, light color, brightness, and beam spread may differ from the finished work, and AI can make mistakes. A generated image is not a quote, design specification, or promise about the result. Your written estimate and contract govern the actual work.
Using the tools properly. Do not upload unlawful or offensive content, material you do not have permission to use, or content that violates another person’s rights. Do not try to overload the tools, bypass their safeguards, or gain unauthorized access. The tools are provided for exploring our products and services. We may restrict access if they are misused.
Your agreement. By uploading a photograph, you confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions and acknowledge the processing described in this section. If you do not agree to that processing, do not upload a photograph. Any separate marketing choice remains separate from using the image-generation tool.
No warranty. We provide these tools free as a convenience and “as is,” to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that generated images will be accurate, complete, available, or suitable for a particular project. To the extent permitted by law, BCG is not responsible for decisions made solely in reliance on a generated image. Nothing in this section excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded or changes our obligations under your written service agreement.
Age. Our AI tools are intended for adults age 18 or older. Please do not use them if you are under 18.
Changes. We may change the tools, the AI provider, or this section. We will update this policy to reflect material changes and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required.
